I actually do know! My parents danced a lot when they were younger and I've more than once cleaned & polished their shoes.
But I get the message, Martin wants 2 have Jenni all 4 himself. I wonder what Angela thinks of that... :)

jenni hugs kisses

We missed you!

How was your snorkel trip to the Red Sea? Did you see the wonders of Egypt while you were there? Do tell, buddy!

It's chilly out today but I'm going to be brave and go to lunch with Dad. We're going chinese today. Can't wait to dig into a bowl of wonton soup. Mmm.

news Okay everybody - let's give Jenni (and the rest of us) your latest news:

office BoxerBob is working at home now - has his home office downstairs and saves more than an hour a day without the commute to Connecticut.

diet I'm sticking with my diet - lost 26 pounds so far and starting to feel like my old self again. BB is getting with the program - threw away all the Oreos and Little Debbies and Cheez-Its and eats what I eat. (Easier for me and he's lost 17 pounds so far.) We haven't had red meat in ages. It took a little while to find new favorites but it was worth the time and effort.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Martin de Weger on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 - 9:20 am:     Edit PostPrint Post

Rusty, way to go, 26 and 17 pounds!! Where did all the oreo's go? I really like them! Found them frst in Spain and now and then I eat 2 boxes at a time.. :( Adictive, isn't it??

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Rusty Clark on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 - 9:27 am:     Edit PostPrint Post

cookies Ooops - we should have sent the Oreos to you, Martini! They are great - I always liked them with a glass of cold milk - so I can dunk them til they're soft - then gobble-gobble. Bob had them every night with cheese crackers in the other hand - he's a salty sweet personality. :) We're saving a lot of calories simply by getting all the junk food out of the house.

eat Our meals weren't the problem, per se, except for the HUGE portions we'd eat. LOL So cutting out the red meat and cutting the portions to normal human servings we can still have most of our favorite foods. I also learned not to cook everything in a stick of margarine. (OMG - I was SO ignorant of healthy cooking standards. Glad we figured this out before BB hit s 50 in a couple years!)

Good day, everyone! Welcome back, Jenni. If you check BT first thing in the morning and last thing at night , it becomes a good habit....like brushing your teeth!

Rusty, I'm on the opposite diet from you and have lost 15. Adkins diet is high protein, low carb, you know. Jim likes it because he doesn't get hungry and his blood sugar gets really stable( he's diabetic) A well balanced diet is of course, best......but easier said than done.

Annie, are you back from the hospital for the day? And does Emma like her new doctor?p

I'm not sure what the health care system is like in UK. Do you have good insurance coverage? Are you able to choose your doctors? Friends of mine who have been in your situation tell me that it helps greatly to have doctors in whom you have great confidence. Do you have good nurses there? That's one thing we are dreadfully short on. And they are soooo important! Do you have to go back today? margarite

bread Margarita - I'd go crazy without bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. Do they add those back into your diet later on? It's funny because my diet isn't anything except me counting calories - but since I can eat so much produce for my 1200 calories, and tons of shrimp and white chicken meat - that's how we eat.

junkfood Just cleaned out the cupboards full of candy, cookies and salty, greasy chips and crackers. Also eating in more and lots less fast food - McDs and KFC and Domino's Pizza. We really were overdoing it on the processed foods. LOL I'm surprised that Nabisco's stock hasn't crashed.

ok, you all had way too much coffee today...here is my contribution for today:

HOW MANY DOGS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB?

GOLDEN RETRIEVER: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our
whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid
burned out bulb?

BORDER COLLIE: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up
to code.

DACHSHUND: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!

ROTTWEILER: Make me!!

LAB: Oh, me, me!!!! Pleeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can
I? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I?

GERMAN SHEPHERD: I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from
the dark, checked to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one
more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of
the situation.

TIBETAN TERRIER: Let the Border Collie do it. You can feed me while
he's busy.

JACK RUSSELL TERRIER: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the
walls and furniture.

POODLE: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By
the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.

COCKER SPANIEL: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the
dark.

DOBERMAN: While it's dark, I'm going to sleep on the couch.

BOXER: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the
dark......

CHIHUAHUA: Yo quiero Taco Bulb.

IRISH WOLFHOUND: Can somebody else do it? I've got this hangover.....

POINTER: I see it, there it is, there it is, right there....

GREYHOUND: It isn't moving? Who cares?

AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little
circle...

OLD ENGLISH SHEEP DOG: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light
bulb?

HOUND DOG: ZZZZZZzzzzz.z.z.z..z..z

DALMATIAN: If it ain't on the firetruck, I won't notice.

CAT: Dogs do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So, the
question is: How long will it be before I can expect light?

ALL OF WHICH PROVES, ONCE AGAIN, THAT WHILE DOGS HAVE MASTERS, CATS
HAVE SERVANTS.

Welcome back, Jenni. Annie, best of luck and strength over the next few days.

I did get one picture from my outing on Sunday. Not as good as tonight's sunsets.

Skiing

Winter is not a good time for photo's. It may look pretty but the pictures are always seem flat w/o much color or depth. I've tried black and white but this only makes it worse. Oh well another good reason to long for Spring.

I do keep saying that if the air temperature gets above freezing, I going diving. We'll see, we did go in Febuary last year.

Cecil, we wait until the air temperature breaks above 40 before we dive -- hard to take it when the air is colder than the water, and the water's that cold... :)

And your weekend outing shot looks sort of like what our weekend outing shots would have looked like if we had taken any! Only the houses weren't that close, and there was no snow fence. Oh, and the mountain (Wachusett, such as it is) is a bit further off...

And Jenni, don't worry about being "out of touch"! Just sort of hop back in like you'd never left, sort of the way the rest of us do it... :)

Faith

Jenni, I never make fun of people that are trying hard to accomplish something. Enjoy your try dive!!!

Snow fences protect an area from drifting snow. They're only useful if the snow is going sideways, not if it's coming down straight -- otherwise I'd have one around my house... :)

The picture is looking across what would normally be a Golf course towards Mt Kearsarge (in the Sunapee region of Hew Hampshire). The houses are actually a ways away, but look closer because of the telephoto lens.
