snow Hi Ida! With almost a foot of snow on the ground here, I couldn't seem to drag myself out of bed. But the sunshine is bright and it's really very beautiful, if you don't have to go out and move snow from here to there. That's BoxerBob's job - he's out there snowblowing now - going slowly since there is a LOT of fluffy white stuff to throw.

We had a great Christmas - made Mandarin Chocolate Sherbet and ate it while watching a couple James Bond movies last night. Fun. How about you?

Hi Rusty,
We had a nice Christmas also. Went to my parent's house. Made it home around 3:30 to watch a little football and finally a couple of Movies. Very relaxing evening.

Here's another shot of the duo.

Hi Rusty & Ida,

Yup - "Boxing Day" today. Recover-from-over-indulging day more like it! Felt like I had swallowed a basket ball when I went to lay my exhausted body down last night. Well it is only once per year!!

We have all of, oh, 2 inches of snow. Hope BB is enjoying using the snow blower!

Got a feeling it is going to be a slooooooow day around here today. And I won't be going near a mall to find any bargooons!

Have a great day! Much snow in Florida Ida?

Cheers,

Bill

Kahlua Velvet Frosty

1 cup Kahlua

1 cup half-and-half

1 pint vanilla ice cream

1/8 teaspoon almond extract

Ice cubes

Combine all ingredients, except ice cubes, in container of an electric blender. Add enough ice cubes to make mixture measure 5 cups in blender. Blend mixture until smooth.

mmmm...sounds good rusty! we have an aol account with 3 hours a month, just 4.95, we have had our email addresses with them for 9 years, and we use those addresses to sign up for stuff so they send all the junk there! kind of ridiculous that you have to have a junk email account!

Thanks, Rusty, for starting this thread and the Boxing Day recipe, I'm trying it now...(hic). Here in Kitchener/Waterloo, Ont, the _proper_ Dec 26 Boxing Day festivity is mall shopping, a type of sport where you club your neighbours and wrestle them to the floor over items marked 25-75% off. A retailer's paradise. (Bill, tell me it's different in London, Ont...) Queen Elizabeth gave a speech on Christmas day about adversity (in the past year her mother - the Queen Mum - and sister - Princess Margaret- both died), plus she celebrated 50 years as queen with all the jazz that accompanies such an event. Can't say I'd be as chipper if I had to deal with all of the above in one year...
