I kinna believe it - it's snowing out there! I don't think they mentioned it yesterday in my email weather. I get the feeling that they guess at the long-range forecast at the Weather Channel - don't you? What a job.

Ahhh Rusty, nothing like the sight of fresh fallen snow in the US of A, when there is none up here in the great white north!!

We're entertaining Cheryl's work buddies tonight so I get to do the housework today. I'll peek in at spontaneous goof-off times!!!

Have a good one,

Bill

Hi Annie! It's a great day to go back to bed and read under the covers. The dogs have already deserted me and done exactly that. Well, except for the reading. They're watching a video actually. LOL They love Snoopy and Charlie Brown's Christmas.

soup Going to make soup today - beef, tomatoes, onions and celery and lots of macaroni! Simmering soup always makes a cold snowy day seem cozier.

It's...

Sleep Comfort Day

How important is sleep? It's essential to our total well-being. Sleep helps us feel healthier, think sharper, enjoy life more fully. Unfortunately, for millions of people, poor sleep and daytime weariness are facts of life anything

Hey Freddie!

You're gonna need a "Bumble" (if you know 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer') to put a star on the top of your tree!

To the uninitiated, that's an Abominable Snowman.

Cynde, if the baby kelp is below 20 feet it should survive. The stuff that gets torn lose is in shallower water or the fronds have grown close to or up to the surface. The weather here seems like it is coming from the south-east, but all of the news channels have been showing the surf at west facing beaches.

My office cube smells like a florist shop today, I picked a couple of paper narcissius from my front yard on the way to my car this morning.

linnea, the kelp that we have planted is in a depth between about 20-35 feet. so far it has hung in there, but some of the plants are still pretty small (2 feet or less) and those are the ones that we are worried about. the small ones survived the reminents of the hurricane that came up from mexico a couple of months ago. depends on how strong the surge, swells, and sets get....bet the wedge is kickin' it up! we got quite a bit of wind down in san clemente/dana point way. went by to check on the boat and there were quite a few people checking on theirs as well. half the cover was blown off! boy do we need this rain though!
