I do believe Arte Johnson of R&W Laughin (Wiki spelling at <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/arte_johnson>;) – with glasses and WWII German Army helmet.

AJ

Carol, you can't be old enough to have seen R&W live.... :–)

OK, I give up: Wikipedia doesn't recognize it's own url here.

For those curious enough, Google 'Artie Johnson" and click on the first link (at least when I do it now!)

AJ was in a Broadway show 'The Shoestring Revue' similar to the film 'American Graffiti' in the number of 'future stars' in the cast. Velly intellesting!

I think it was Arte (not Artie), but that was in the mid-60's, so my memory may be faulty. In any event ... say goodnight, Dan ... goodnight Dan.

KOB

I see we have been sent to the woodshed for emulating our Mods. Can't be perfect!!! But you can be sure their sarcasm will stand!!!

It was Arte as the Wiki site shows and I said above but the search string worked at 'Artie' before I knew better!!! :–)

As I have said before BT was fun before PC paralysis set in.

Velly intellesting, Mod Freddie.

The removed posts were a follow up on 2 above that talked to Arte Johnson that were not removed.

And are you going to hold ALL threads to this strict a standard??? That will cause a lot of moving posts unless BT'ers including the Mods change their habits considerably. We will all be watching.

But you mods own us now. So be it.

Glen, Carole mentioned Artie Johnson in parenthesis and went on to talk about the Jagar,
Eric never even mentioned the words "very interesting" and I don't believe that Michael Gaynor meant anything by that selection of words.
You however went on a rave on three posts now to explain just who AJ was and where you found the information ...That certainly was not on topic. Read the terms of service again please. it states "off-topic posts (hijacking) may be moved, edited or
removed from the threads."

Yes, Freddie, 'may' be moved.

As I said in my message last night on the original thread but which has somehow 'gone missing' this morning w/o comment, just poof vanished, threads on BT have wandered for years, including posts by the Mods, without being moved to CC. Why now?? And it will be interesting to see how strait who must be.

Glen if you will look the post that you are referring to is the post 8 above this one... look at the time :)

We are trying to enforce the New posting policies.. would you have rather had them deleted or editted as stated in the posting policies???

I think you can safely look at some of the new posts and see that the Mods have not gone astray...But thanks for looking and keeping your eyes peeled:):):)

Moddies, I love you to death, and you know it, but the new guidelines and their somewhat uneven enforcement do discourage me from posting. Having an innocuous post replaced by a red ink rebuke has made me walk away at least once. We've had a drop in participation lately, and I wonder if this is a contributor.

I can't even say this is my .02's worth...not even worth that...stagflation, you know...

Is it possible to go off topic in this thread? And if so, where would one move it? Sorry Freddie, I will be good. Couldn't help myself.

I see your point CB. If you can at your age remember just a short few years ago I faugh tooth and nail to bend bend rules on BT / CC. This mod gig is a stinky job. Sometimes we feel like crap when we have to act on a post made by people we like and respect, but some form of line in the sand is needed.

FYI, I have had more of my post removed, deleted, or edited then the rest of the active members put together.

As you know we are few to run BT, and MF and Martin will be working on the new site so things will get a bit nuts at times.

If at some point you do get RED in your post, think of it this way, "They took the time to read what I had to say"

Now go out and get a burger.....

Jogdish, I like BT, and I like the friends I've made here. I've been looking around lately, thinking, "Where'd everybody go?", and thinking about why I haven't been here as much. The things that have occurred to me have been this off topic enforcement thing and a rash of SB-like rudeness that passed through here a while ago.

Anything I say on this subject I offer only in a positive way, to help BT prosper.

OOHHH! a vegeburger....what a good idea...I'll have mine with alfalfa sprouts!!!
