Its Twist Day...shake those bellies!
t Chubby Checker was born Ernest Evans in 1941, His career began in 1958 while working in a chicken farm. His boss introduced him to Kal Mann a song writer...He was given the name Chubby Checker by Dick Clarks wife. He gained national fame in 1960 with the tune The twist. This was unusual because it was the first dance that partners danced with each other ...but alone....
Rusty,,,,can ya get the twist wavs or even the peperment twist...if there are still people out there that remember such songs!

raspberry It is also Raspberry Pie Day

Raspberries were one of the first European plants brought to America. They belong to the rose family and are usually red or purple - although you can also find gold and black. These sweet berries have tiny edible seeds and an intense flavor and aroma. This makes them perfect for flavors and syrups, but their most common use is in preserves and pies. They grow in the northern temporate zones.

Sure is quiet in here. Yoo hoo? Everyone finally getting some work done?

chinese

I'll be bailing out around 11 am for lunch with Dad. We're in a quandary - our fave Chinese place (Debbie Wong's) lost their lease after 15 years and closed the restaurant on Monday. A ?99 got the lease. (Banks prefer big chains to the little guys?) So until they BUY a building in town - don't want to lose their liquor license - it'll have to be American chow.

Speaking of meeting - Just got back from an early one. Think the rest of the day will be phone calls. Again - Too hot to want to go out!

The twist is not my favourite dance. Always got a sore back half-way through. Reduced to "twisting" my feet.

Yumm - yum rasberry pie. They are expensive up here. So I never get to eat as many rasberries as I love to.

Jenni -Give the tooth a week. Lots of jangled nerves!

Is there a "which Seseme Street Character are you?" test?

Rusty -Love what you can do withthat pickup truck! Endless possibilities, eh?

Cheers all,

Bill

Hi Guys

Back from Pilates - feel better, though the tooth is still tender and sore. Thanks for the encouragement, Bill. Much appreciated, and you are probably right.

Raspberry Pie. Did I miss something? I adore raspberries, but never seem to have enough for a pie. If I buy them I eat them, on my own, with ice cream.

sheep Mr. Bill and Sir Glenn, you men in your meetings. I could never twubble my widdle bwain with meetings. (LOL) I just find widdle lost lambikins and tend my flock!

dance Re: The Twist - never tried it. I remember tho - living upstairs from a kid who thought he was the ultimate in cool. I was five and he was almost grownup - like eight. He'd turn on his record player really loud and then stand in the driveway dancing to one 45 rpm record over and over all day long. We called him Hanky-Panky Frankie! Doh.

I got a kick out of disco and tend to just jump around when we're rocking and rollin' but you can't beat a good slow drag!

me You are ELMO. You are cute, and everyone loves you. You are a best friend that no one takes the chance of losing. You don't like to hurt other people's feelings, but if you do it's not intentional. Life is a breeze. You are witty and calm?? most of the time. Just keep clear of backstabbers, and you are worry free.
