Unbelievable! My FedEx guy just came in and told me that my house is just covered in ash :-(
I just went outside and it literally looks like it's snowing. There is a layer of ash covering the ground.
That's it... every time they say they are sending Guy home from this fire it blows up again... it must love him as much as I do!!! LOL

Boom, how come this thing is not on the news? None of the LA stations are covering it dang it! So, does Guy have to stay out there and work 24/7 until it's under control?

Ok, dang, if we lived closer I'd come over with a big bottle of whine...

I haven't heard from him yet but let me tell you he was soooooooo looking forward to coming home tomorrow night for a few days.
It's blowing towards homes and structures now... they have issued evacuation warnings as close as Paradise camp ground... after that it's just got one more hill to climb.
Guy said he saw a couple of articles about the Forest Service being strapped for cash and closing down too early.

Yeah, if we lived closer I'd be at your house sitting in front of the robot airco, watching Michael finish that bar -- LOL!!!

Boom - hugs coming your way. Like Cynde said how come it's not on the news? Everything else is! I hope that Guy does get a break to recoup at least. I know the adrenalin gets pumping and I'm sure Guy & his team just keep going & going. Very tough on everyone. The ash has got to be pretty devastating too - not letting anyone forget.
My thoughts & prayers are with all involved and hopes that it gets under control soon.

Awww.. I really don't have anything to complain about. I'm just bored and all alone... waahhh!! Boy, does that sound pathetic!!! I've got lots of friends and the whole town is in Fiesta mode - no need for whining here!
Guy's Batallion Chief wants him back on his truck so we'll see who wins... the chief or the fire!!

If anyone is still interested here is the official incident site Zaca Fire Info There are some really great photos there.

I hope it is resolved soon and Guy can relax, a whole month of fires what a shame.

Tara, they had a little blurb on our evening news...can't believe it's been going on so long AND that it looks like it may continue for a while!
I hope they give Guy a break SOON!

Thanks all! Guy is home and we're having a great time :-)
Yesterday, I went out and splurged on brand new, top-of-the-line pillows and new sheets, washed everything, vacuumed the house really well - he slept until 11am today.... it was wonderful having both he & Rasta snoring away :-) :-)

Morning Tara...we woke up this morning to a smokey "Cuddy Valley". Now we know what you were experiencing a few days ago...it is snowing ash here too. The good thing...last years "Day Fire" burned most of the heavy brush to the southwest of us. http://www.frazmtn.com/cuddycam/

Wow, can't believe how much damage and cost this fire is causing. Very sad... Our prayers are with Guy and the others who are battling this fire. Please keep us posted.
