The annual Sun N Fun Fly-in is going on this week in Lakeland. The skies are full of planes, blimps and lots of noise. So far, they've only had one crash this year and 1 fatality. that's pretty good. this is a huge event with people flying in from all over the US and Canada.

1 2 3

Where my Momz is in Deland FL - they hold a lot of skydiving weeks and competitions, etc. My Momz property backs onto an area of the airfield and there are always jumpers landing in her backyard - looking for a ride back to the jump shack. When they see eight boxers come to the fence - they are very polite!

Dinner already! So funny that you are so far ahead of us, Jenni. What's the weather like this time of year?

planting

Great garden plot and fertilizer on the hoof, Cindy! I love crows - they don't seem to eat anything we plant.

I'll be glad when this new bed arrives and I am once more settled. All this spring cleaning is good, but I want to be out in the garden.

GMT, Rusty, smiley
It's 8.30pm here. Weather is dry, which is great after all the rain we've had, and recently sunny. The wind is nippy though. I have gardened in my shorts, but not my swimsuit [which I do in the summer]. Just going dark here. My garden lights have come on, and I must go out and bring in the sheets I washed earlier.
What time is it where you are, Rusty?

Rusty & I are on the same time as Bonaire right now. We have DST and they don't.

What are you taking to the gate with you so we'll know who you are?

What a good question? I have no idea. I had better think of something. I'll be taking Kevin, but that won't help much. I'll put a photo on my profile - that will definitely help. Hmmmm What should I take with me, so You know it's me???

Me and Kev could dance !!!!! Then you'd know.
dancing
Not sure I could persuade him though [she says smiling and laughing out loud]

I'm a snorkeler, Cindy. Though this site has got me [and Kev] so keyed up about things, we actually enquired about diving training. Doing the classroom and pool stuff here, and then coming out to Bon and doing the open water there. But Kev can;t get the time away from work before we come out.
So, Cindy, I'm not sure if I can hold my breath that long, but I am certainly going to have a go, and so is Kev. So you're right we need to plan what we are going to take with us.
I'm enjoying this chatting about it all

sky dive

I wonder if you can do one of the resort dives on Bon? One day - close supervision and you get to really give it a try to see how you like it. I did that in FLA and after a morning of intensive briefing - I got to do a couple dives in the afternoon! The divemaster was never more than a couple feet away and it went like a dream. Next vacation I got my certification. (My best friend was with me the week I tried diving and she did her first SKYDIVE (tandem) the same week. It was a double gift from my Momz!)

Thanks. Must go and get the sheets in, and do a bit more sorting of the bedroom. Otherwise we won;t be able to sleep in the 'old' bed for the last time tonight. I'm sad to see this bed go, but the new one is.... to die for. Cost plenty, but think it will be worth it. Hopefully won;t ache in a morning. BFN

Yeh, Rusty, I wondered if we could do something there. One friend said it would be easier, especially in a place like Bon, where there are so many dive centres, and shore dives. And it all depends on how much it costs too. This is a VERY expensive holiday for us. And, if you remember, a few weeks back I was upset cos we lost a property we wanted to buy - as investment and a place for me to work from. Well we went for another, with 5 one-bed apartments, and that is going through, and we have now been told we might be able to have the original one. We have decided if we get both we will buy both, which will strap us both for cash. Will be a good investment though, and give us a pension.

Cindy, it's so funny and weird when you pick the same animation to post out of the thousands that are out there. LOL Oh, no horses, no rollercoasters, and NO balloon rides for me, thanks. Am I wasting my life?

blimp

New thread...

I almost used that blimp gif earlier Rusty.:)

Jim just called & they've totaled the truck. I think he needs to replace it with a BMW motorcycle. They seem to be sturdier. Who'd thought a bike could total a truck?
