Makes me want to give it a big ole' kiss...NOT...lol! I'm surprised the guy actually picked it up...those pinchers/claws on it are really sharp and they can grab just about anything!

He is pretty ugly ...wonder how old he is? I like to baby scorpionfish ... he's not as ugly as his parents!! You have some nice photos Cyndee ... is the water warm enough for diving at this time of the tear?

Cheryl, the water right now is around 54F, 55F. We are getting dry suits next month (finally) so we can dive in the winter:-)

Hey Carole those crabs look like our east coast Spider crabs.. P nasty looking things and a crab that I come in contact with just about every beach dive I make.. sometimes there are thousands of them all mating and then the off spring are all over the place.. I hear that if you can get past the FUZZY covering on their legs the meat is pretty good..

Oh, my, Freddie...someone would DEFINITELY have to get the Fuzzy covering off their legs for me if I am going to place their carcass on a plate with drawn butter! LOL. They are creepy looking critters, tho. I can't imagine coming across thousands of them at one time....that would freak me out! LOL. CArole
