Good morning! This is screwy clock day! They say you gain an hour but it's all in how you look at it. If you're an early riser you lose an hour in the morning. No lazing about for an hour before you have to start getting ready for work. Phht.

Off to check the archives...

Ham Radio Day tincans

Amateur radio is a community of people that use radio transmitters and receivers to talk to each other. They are called ham radio operators or just "hams." (The origin of this nickname is lost, so nobody knows why.) But, it's more than just a high-tech hobby. Normal means of communication are often lost during floods, hurricanes or earthquakes. Hams are always ready to use their radios for emergency services and help. ~HiDates.com

Here's the web site Rusty. They were developed by this man in Ellenton down around Sarasota. We buy them directly from him, but he sells them on the net too.

Rusty ,all the parrots are inside right now and we have 1 ailing pigeon...(he's going out soon to give him more room to recover) My little one a rainbow Lory is still sneezing..we have her under a light and are giving her more tenderloving care. We leave on Weds. morning..so hope she's better by then.
I had checked into Ham radios once and was taken aback by how much they cost....another expensive hobby!

Cindy,,,great cabbage,,,I looked at that web site and emailed it to my sister, she has room for a garden and will be delighted with the idea..looks good...unfortunatly I have rocks outside too sandy to grow anything here. I could do pots though!

parrot I didn't realize you had parrots, too. I remember you said saomthing about getting food ready for the birds - for while you're away. We've kept Blue Fronts and Senegals and Rosellas and an Umbrella Cockatoo - but we're stuck to parakeets and cockatiels the last ten years or so. One birdroom and one fishroom are enough to keep after.
