Tim I love the picture of that coatimundi! Was it a pet? Doesn't look to be in the wild. Your other photos are beautiful as well. I sure do want to go back to Costa Rica. Tom is right! Elvira...when are you taking us?

Cynde - coatimundis, also called coatis, are the South American version of the North American raccoon. However, they have really long strong tails. They are awesome! We have one at the animal sanctuary.

Hey - I have those pine cone lilies growing in my garden! Now I know where they're native to! They get a real pretty bright red just before declining. Very nice shots!

That guy was standing up on his hind legs like a raccoon begging for food...he is wild but hangs out by the gift shop for hand outs...

OMG Tim! He is such a chunker! Our coati, George, is a real con-artist. He loves it when childrens programs come on site because he gets marshmallows. George also loves cheese. They are such amazing creatures. I'm glad you got to meet this one.

Tim, THANKS for sharing those pics. Absolutely beautiful. You must have been at Volcan Irazu in Cartago or Volcan Poas? Love the shot of the city, looking at it - it makes me to go back!!

Cynde, we can plan for next year. Quecha's 50th birthday is in July and I know they will celebrate it in big!!! Then you will definitely meet everyone :-)

Would love to take a group to CR, it is a beautiful country, its people, its mountains, food, etc., etc. :-) :-)

Tim - WOW!!! Beautiful photos - more please!!!
Elvira - can other BTrs go????? What a wonderful trip that would be :-) So lush and green - and to see it with a native, you just can't beat that.
ps - I have to look through my customer list to find the spa (we sold them a bunch of medical supplies) -- the other guys go down and set up the rigging for the traversing through the treetops.
Thanks again Tim - just gorgeous :-)

Of course, everyone is invited.
My friend who has a dive shop in Atlanta is taking a group of about 20 people to CR in November and the places they are visiting are fabulous. This will be there 2nd trip to CR.

Tim, thanks for the beautiful pics! Two close friends of ours are leaving for Costa Rica for ten days in the morning. I'm excited for them!! LOL. Lots of exploring and hiking on their excursion/adventure. Can't wait to hear all about it. Carole

Thanks Tim - they just may be in the ginger family. I planted them from bulbs, and just remember that the label was pine cone something, and it could have been pine cone ginger. They spread every year, and I wind up radically cutting them back.

Are you ready for Katrina? A bunch of my in-laws are in Ft Myers, so we'll be watching carefully. We just expect a lot of rain here in Central FL.

We're still dry here, despite predictions of having rain by now. It looks like it already made landfall in the southeast. My mother-in-law is right off the river in Alva, so we always worry about them if the water level rises. Just so this one doesn't pull a 'Charley' on us! Hang in there, Tim!
