AK Dan should be in the Seattle area today if all went well. He arrived safely in my city of Prince George, B.C. on Friday and we had a nice visit over lunch. It was finally nice to meet him. He caught a ferry from Juneau to Skagway then chose to travel down the Stewart/Cassiar Highway instead of the Alaska Highway. Said he wasn't sure that was wise. It was long and dusty and the hotel accommodations sucked with no air conditioning! Communities are few and far between so not much to choose from. Very long and tiring trip he said. The colour of his truck was almost unrecognizable because of the mud (I think it was green). He will probably return via the Alaska Highway which has more communities dotted along the way. Safe trip home Dan and hope all goes well with your niece.
