We've had a few weeks of 70's/80's days, and spring has really taken over here in the deep south. :-) I still don't think I'm far enough south, but then at least I can grow tulips here. :-) And there are so many more things ready to "pop" (several clematis, the dogwoods, azaleas, plum trees, cherry trees, etc., and some things I didn't record, like the hyacinths and jonquils who are now past prime, but this is what today brought to my house. Tulips and anemones, (the above ground kind)! By the way, that shade garden with the purple tulips is ready to explode. Hostas of every variety, irises, cannas, sweet william, bleeding hearts, every kind of lily, moonflowers, dahlias, rhododendron, more anemones (but red ones), salvia, hollyhock, red appledorn tulips, and so much more. I have six gardens. Can't stop myself. (going to build one more just for sunflowers). That's just one, but they are all thriving right now, and I love it.

Anyway, some tulips and purple anemones:

Beautiful photos Kathy.

I hope to take the digital camera outside later. The flowers are just starting to awaken, so I won't have any photos of blossoms. But I will be able to post some colorful photos of our lovely Vermont ........ mud;-{)}

Thanks! I hope you all have some to add. :-) Today it's raining (low rolling thunder, warm rain) and at 8:00 this morning it's already 74. Guess I won't have to water everything today!

Eileen, Heather is also ready to pop. :-)
Her due date has been adjusted to April 17th, so she's really just a few days away. I fly up on April 27th for a few days, and am SURE we'll have little Erin by then. The full moon is on the 24th, so I say sometime between the 21st and 27th (cutting it close) she should arrive. However, Heather is sure that she'll be right on time. :-)

Kathy, beautiful pictures! Wow! Sunny in so cal today:-) Heading to Minnesota (brrrr) tomorrow for the weekend. My mom donated funds to my brothers church, and they built a building and they are dedicating it this weekend...I have to write a speach...ACK attack! Guess what though, as my mom's favorite color was purple too, they painted teh walls on the inside purple!

Cynde, that is the sweetest thing ever, it actually made me tear up. I'm so glad they painted it purple, your mom would have loved that. No worries about your speech, I know you will say the right thing and everyone will be touched by your words. And if all else fails, you have great hair.

Kelly, purple, the color of royalty! LOL! Actually, I DO have really good hair! I went to a new guy, and he gave me the best cut EVER! Blow it dry and it look fabulous...I'll have Michael take a pic and send it to you...I'm actually amazed that I was able to recreate it this morning on my own (a FIRST folks...I am notoriously known as "hair style challenged"...it's quite the handicap!

Hola Cynde, how neat that they are dedicating a building in your mom's honor. And of course you will do just fine - don't worry about the speech just say what you feel in your heart at that time.

Purple is my favorite color so I guess I am royalty :-)

Hola chica! Yes, purple is the color of royalty, and of wonderful friendships (like BT):-) I have an idea of what I want to say, but still working on it...my brother called yesterday and asked how the vacation was, I said, "well no one died"...glad we got over that hump...

Now back to the happy flower pictures!

Cynde, I loved your hair in the pics Barbara took, is it still the same as that?? It looks adorable !!!

Purple has always been my favorite color, it dates WAY back to Donny Osmond days.

Freddie.....beautiful.

Cecil....I was thinking the same thing. I still have at least a foot or more of snow in my flower beds.:-( Right next to the foundation of the house I spied something greenish yesterday. Think it is daffodils. Will try to take pictures tonight and post from home.
