Babs and Alison arrived on Friday afternoon, I got off work early so we headed down to Laguna Beach to window shop and have some dinner. I had a minor "accident" of which Babs has the pictures, so she can post them when she get's home:-)

Babs and Alison are wonderful people, and if you get the chance to meet them, you should. Babs is sweet, genuine, and a great person. Alison is not only a doll, but a sweetheart as well.

Saturday, I had crew training on the water for the USCGA, and so Michael fixed us all eggs benedict, then I had to take off. I'll let Babs tell you what they did. I got done around 4PM, and Michael, Dylon, Babs and Alison were at our boat, so I went over there. Babs had made some great frechiuto (sp)...the garlic, tomato, thing you put on bread (you can tell I am NOT a cook...trust me)...I was pretty beat, so I took Monet (the dog) home and changed into some jeans and ughs, and Michael et.al. took the boat over to the restaurant area and docked next to one of the restaurants. I met them there, we had some dinner, chatted, laughed, sang, danced (well, we really didn't sing and dance...that's for later...LOL). We went down to the boat, and putted back to the slip. It was a full moon, and a wonderful evening.

We stopped by blockbuster on the way home to pick up a DVD to watch, it was slim pickin's...so we ended up with Monty Python and the Holy Grail...at one point I looked around and it looked like a body and dog bomb had gone off...we had a "relaxing" evening to say the least...I told Babs, I post this pic and folks will think, "well, that Cynde and Michael certainly know how to get a crowd going..." LOL!
group

Michael made German pancakes this morning, and Babs had bought some muffins and strawberries at the market last night, so we had a sort of brunch. I bought Michael and Dylon peep baskets, and then Babs came out with mine:-)

The first peep in the first pic says "happy easter" and a fish, and the second, is of course, a purple thong:-)

Thanks for a great weekend gals:-) It was so great to finally meet in person. And again, it's amazing how many wonderful people I've met on BT, and had them stay with us, without ever meeting face to face first, and end up with an even better friendship!

Cynde, Thanks for the post. Sounds like you had a good time.

I know what you mean about meeting people that you have chatted with through BT and becoming friends with them. I am looking forward to meeting a few more BT'rs and their spouses-partners face to face in October:-{)}

Barbara, I hope to see you prior to October. If that is, you and Alison are planning an August trip to the nawth east?

and if you nuke a peppermint patty for 20-30 seconds, an alien hatches... Try it, it's cool! (tasty, too -- makes the filling really creamy)

Looks like a great time was had by all.

Babs you'd better be thinking of stopping by and seeing me doing your tour. That is the time frame for our annual NE BT Party which normally is determined by Linda and Jake's visit.

Our trip started out at a leisurely pace...we stayed in Monterey for a couple of days, visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium where we got to ses the only Great White Shark in captivity...she was awesome and I was able to get a short video of her...stills were too hard due to low lighting...Lots of divers in the water along the bay where we had a great view from our hotel room...the water was 54 degrees! Yes, dry suits were plentiful!
It rained almost constantly as we headed down the coast..Alison drove the 17 mile drive in Carmel where I got a wintery shot of the famous Lone Cypress cypress.jpg

Now for the best part! The visit to Cynde's!
Little did we know what a daredevil she is! After dinner on our first night there, she got into a little tussle with the art work at a local shop! (the sign said, DO NOT TOUCH!!) :-)

Bab's, I do have a "little" pain in my right elbow, the stitches seem to be healing up nicely though...I am a bit embarrassed by all the blood and mess I created in the art gallery though...they probably will have a "wanted" poster of me on the door from now on..."don't let this woman in."

cute pic of the kids...us...and "Cap' Mike"

I also like the Goddess Kelly, she sure does get around (along with Martini) ;-)

Cecil & Babs - just got back from our vacation to the north (northern Caribbean :-) ).

Best bet for a BT BBQ in NH this summer which would include all four Richters would likely be Sunday, July 24th (I think I have that numeric date right...) - kids are in camp from Saturday the 9th to the 23rd.

Jake

PS Nice pics Babs!

The other thing I was thinking about is having the party at my house, if that is alright with Corney et all. I probably should also check with the boss lady (Sue).
