Top snorkeling sites to spot sea turtles around the island? I'll be staying near Andrea II, so the closer to there the better. Any tips appreciated.

Octopi and rays are also on my must see list so any hints for those would be great too.

We have seen turtles at most of the sites. At Andrea I & II we have seen turtles on many occasions. Also, it seems that almost every trip, we see them at Hidden Beach while diving or snorkeling. On one occasion while snorkeling at Hidden Beach I had a young one look straight into my mask and followed my gaze for what seemed like about a minute. I would turn and it would turn with me at probably 1-2 feet distance between our noses. I would like to think that it was just curious and was not used to being fed by people.

I've seen a lot of them at Karpata, Andrea I & II and at the entrance to the sea at Lac Bay.

For spotting rays, you could enter any spot between the salt pier and sound towards Pink Beach. At the entrance of Salt City (not sure if it is the 1st or 2nd canal) you will spot octopus.

Spotting rays and turtles is also very good at Klein Bonaire. Arrange a drop of at Jerry's Reef and swim/float towards No Name. You will also find eel and morray there.

Good luck!

Go on the Woodwind and you will see loads of turtles. I have never failed to see several of them.

Andrea I and II have always been a good place to see turtles, especially in the areas above 30 feet.

I have heard that Dee on the Woodwind offers 'no turtles no fee'. Now that can't be bad for turtle lovers. It is hearsay though, so don't drown me if I am wrong, but I am fairly sure it is right.
Here's to good turtle spotting.

There are two untagged hawksbill turtles swimming of Something Special at the moment. We have video of both of them but I have no idea how to post videos so you are just going to have to trust me. Both were very happy to swim with divers. (Please just remember to give them space to drift to surface to breath!!! We watched some snorkellers who did not behave as well as they might when one surfaced near them but I went down the dock and gave them my headmistress hard stare and they left!)

The drift snorkel between La Danias Leap and Karpata. I have never been disappointed!
