We are planning a trip next year, probably in June, and prefer to stay at the Deep Blue View (DBV). We're looking for someone to take us on a few snorkeling tours to make sure we see some species that have eluded us in previous Caribbean trips. I understand that the DBV host, Esther, leads these tours as part of a package deal. Does anyone have experience with her? If not, I could also book with Renee, unless it's a duplication of services. Any advice?

Welcome to BT David. My advice, book both. It only vacation money and that comes from a different bucket.

It's not a duplicate service because they will show you different things from a different perspective. All good in my book.

I have stayed at Deep Blue View a few times and just adore Ester. She is very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Since you are stying there it might be more convienent to just go with her. I have heard nothing but good things about Renee as well.... I do not think you will go wrong either way:-)

David: I've stayed at DBV twice now and Esther is wonderful. She has taken me places and shown me fishes, etc. that I would have otherwise not seen. A lovely lady! Enjoy.

Esther at the DPV. No contest. She is knowledgeable and great to be around. She's a joy. Enjoy.

Thanks for the advice. We'll definitely use Esther's services and might book Renee as well.

We don't know a thing about Esther. I'm sure she is very, very good. We do know something about Renee as we've snorkeled with her a few times. She truly is a "Fish Whisperer" and a true educator! We learned so much about not only fish identification, but fish behaviors and habits and habitats and stages of fish life. Do yourself a favor and reserve some time with Renee. Her prices are so reasonable and she is a delight. You'll be so happy that you did!
