Several times we heard of a site called Hidden Beach. Very good snorkeling, we understood. But where to be found?

Please, inform me! Toos

Hidden Beach is a nice little unmarked site near Red Slave Hut. There is a very small sandy spot about 10 feet or less wide near a 3 ft coral boulder at the water's edge. (People please correct me if I'm wrong.) The boulder is obscured by a large bush, which if you use your imagination, is slightly bigger than the other bushes scattered along the shore. The bottom is predominately smooth limestone with several large elkhorn coral heads until you get out aways where it breaks into the usual other nice underwater stuff. We saw a group of four HUGE parrotfish (supermale?) cruising in and around the shallows here. A few harmless jellies as well. If memory serves, it is between Red Slave and Sweet Dreams. There is a good description somewhere in this site which references a turnout that you pass before you leave the road. There is an unofficial driveway off the road that takes you to a well-compacted coral rubble parking lot. I believe Sweet dreams was not marked last time we went, so good luck... Use process of elimination and good nav skills and you will find it. Otherwise, just go about 1/4 mile towards Belnam from Red Slave and leave the road and go in. SHould be close enough to have the same fishies.
Good Luck!
PS. Try including the word "turnout" in your keyword search to find the directions that we used...

Been reading these posts for months and they provided invaluable information for my first trip to Bonaire back in September.

Finally decided to jump in and give back some of what you guys have provided for me in the past.

Dove Hidden Beach twice while in Bonaire. This is a teriffic dive site and also excellent for snorkeling. Found this site through Jessie Armacost's book "Bonaire Diving Made Easy." This is an excellent book that provides information on many unmarked dive sites on Bonaire as well as all of the marked sites. There is a map in this book that details the location of these dive/snorkeling sites.

Hidden Beach is approximately half-way between the marked sites of Sweet Dreams and Red Slave. There are three other unmarked sites listed in Jessie's book in this same area. I guess I shouldn't say any more out of respect for Jessie's book and the great research she has done in listing these unmarked dive sites.

Jessie's book is available at many of the dive shops and is also available by mail; don't remember the site for ordering it but I'm sure you can search this site and find it.

What? No one posting the lat/lon of Hidden Beach so we can find it with our GPS receivers? (Just joking, sort of.....)
