Can y'all speak to a specific snorkeling issue, that is: depth. We hate to snorkel only a foot above the coral. Are there plenty of snorkel sites where the coral is at least 6 feet deep?

Thanks!

I didn't have time to write much last time, mermaid. The water gets deep fairly quickly and it is easy to swim over the reef wall drop off. The drop off is a variable distance from shore but the Dive sites of Bonaire book had loads of good snorkel site and is worth every penny of the $10 it costs, you can buy them at nearly every dive shop.
A boat trip on the Woodwind is great. A look in the archives will give you the e mail address. There is also a boat that goes daily to Klein Bonaire and the snorkelling off the beach is great.
If you have any specific questions give me a direct e mail.

Mermaid - I second what Julia said!! All sites have any depth that you want to snorkel in - you can hang just above the coral or go farther out to have some depth.

The woodwind trip is well worth it too. Dee and Ulf run that boat - we went on Sunday where Susan was out guide and she is great. We also did a night dive with Dee that was out of this world - it is right off the Divi dock.

If you look on trips reports and see my trip report - posted in section (mary m's trip report) you can get a feel from the pics the depth that we were in while snorkeling.

If you need any more info - feel free to e-mail me as well.
