We bought $15.00 worth of postcard stamps, wrote and addresses the cards, pasted on the stamps and mailed them. Next day we were told that the post office was just throwing away any cards with the old stamps. The only way to mail a postcard is to go to the post office when they are open. Silliness.

I don't think I've ever mailed a postcard from Bonaire!

We have. We always buy the cards and stamps from Michael at Chat n Browse. One year there were no stamps on the island, so we brought the cards home.

I bought postcards and stamps downtown and mailed them. They came through the mail just fine.

I am still receiving Christmas cards from 2009. So the post office is a bit behind. But it's always nice to receive a Christmas card even when it is 13 months late. hahaha

I stopped selling stamps Dec 1 and used the post office meter to mail. The people who sell stamps in town know they cannot be used but they are nice to add to stamp collections and will have value one day (E bay fodder)!

I always mail myself a postcard from every vacation! That way I have the date I was there and a nice souvenier and picture to add to my photo album's front page.
