Well I wasn't going to post any news till I got home but I have a lot of time on my hands because someone stole my truck last night, then used it for a battering ram at a warehouse I was told then left out in the pucker brush out towards Cai. Don't know yet when I will get another truck. I will keep you posted.

Here are a Few images til I get a truck again.

Beautiful shots, should be in a travel mag!

Hope you get a new truck soon.

Well...... no truck, but I get to dive out of a Hatchback Yaris for a day or two. $300 deductible plus $65 tax on the deductible for the truck being stolen.
I guess I will have to stay out of the Park and not dive Tayor Made til Budget can find me a truck.

The police were very helpful, polite and professional. They knew my truck was missing before I did. I was in and out of the Cop Shop in no time.

I'm betting the "warehouse" was Bonaire Warehouse on Kaya Industria. I was there this morning and the front doors are missing - replaced by plywood and security guards.

Sorry about your truck loss.

Aqua Paul's wife here. I really think the authorities on Bonaire need to get serious about the crime stuff. Last night at our resort in the well lit, camera covered parking lot, one of the other guests got their gas line cut and all of the gas drained out. One of the maids here at the resort also got her car stolen from in front of her house last night. Come on. Do these guys ever get caught? And then what? A slap on the hands. This is not petty any more as if petty where acceptable! If the crime keeps going on and up, tourism will go the other way I'll bet. It's really a shame for the honest people here on the island.

Aqua Paul's Wife:
We feel your pain. We love Bonaire and are returning in January. We also have been victims of crime while on the island in the past year, even with following all the recommendations on this board. In addition, we come to the island with practically nothing of value. Even with that said, to enjoy Bonaire, you have to rent things of value and the thieves go after that. It is clear to me that the private businesses are doing everything reasonable to protect their guests. It is up to the law enforcement on the island to bring about change. I have refrained from posting about this issue as people on this board are quick to be defensive. We will keep coming back to Bonaire; but, realize that currently, no matter how vigilant you are, you are likely to be a victim of crime while enjoying Diver's Paradise. My main reason for responding is not to start a crime diatribe; but, to let you know that their are others who love Bonaire and also see that their is this abhorrent sociological phenomena that seems to be getting worse. Maybe the new changes in government will help. We can only hope!

We have a truck again, the wind is blowing the right way, the Vis has gotten a lot better. The water is 82 degrees and you can feel colder water mixing in at times, so maybe the coral bleaching can start to go away.

Great pictures, sorry about your truck - that sucks! You've certainly kept a great attitude about it, though... good for you.

Keep the pictures coming! :)
