We decided to update our first trip report from Bonaire that we first posted on Bonaire Talk on 8-12-2010.

We put together a photostream for some of the photographs we took while snorkeling.

We included photographs and a video of the Bonaire Banded Box Jellyfish.

The following links should work if interested:

Nice videos, Pat! We have not seen the BBBJ at all, so that was interesting to watch!

Thank you for the posting, Pat. Although it does make our next trip to Bonaire in February seem a long time away!

These are really dangerous, aren't they? What do you do if you get stung by them.

We are certainly no experts on the Bonaire Banded Box Jellyfish.

We were just lucky enough to have seen two on our last trip. What an incredible creature to watch.

Bonaire is the BEST place in the world for regular people like us to get into great clear ocean water and see marine life first hand. You may even see rare marine life on a good day.

These jellyfish are nothing to be scared of but you should be aware of them.

If you want to actually learn a lot about the Bonaire jellyfish or any jellyfish you can look up Bud Gillan and Dr. Allan G. Collins on the internet( just Google their names ). They have been gathering information on this jellyfish for many years.

They both are REAL EXPERTS in this field.
