Well we made it!

This was the first trip on the Delta flight from Atlanta. We flew from Richmond to Atlanta, had 30 min to make the connection, got on in Atlanta with no issues at all (was really worried about being that close!) Very nice to fly in on a 757 made for a very smooth ride! However taking the larger plane made for many more people at Total rent a car! Took 2-3 hours to get a vehicle that was not even suitable..tailgate was smashed and inoperative, low tire that later went flat etc but was all they had left (we had a secured reservation months ahead) but made that better today exchanging it with another after saying they still had none, then the mechanic was going to look at it then when they saw the wifes face they 'found' another truck!
A side note and a thank you...Do not bother with the internet access from sandollar, it is plagued with many issues. Michael at Chat & Browse, as usual, came through and rented us a cellular modem and wireless router for the price of two non functional accounts at sandollar! So if anyone is on island and needs internet temporarily come on by and help yourself! Thanks again Michael!! It made it so nice to see our girls on skype this morning, absolutely priceless.
The diving was disappointing as I have posted in the diving section, degradation of the reef has gotten worse, however hopefully the wind reversal will keep up and we can go south past the lighthouse tomorrow, others we spoke to today did and said it was incredible!!

More as the trip progresses..

Bill

William, which building are you in at Sanddollar? We had an excellent connection from A building back in June.

We were in B7 and while the wi-fi didn't work very well, the router had a port you could plug a Cat-5 cable into and be hardwired into the net. Worked great. You might look around and see if there is a port in your unit. If you don't have the cable I'm betting Chat n Browse will have a short length you can buy at a reasonable price.

How does one add a picture? We had an experience (on land) that we never have had before yesterday...We were over run by goats!! It was unreal, had to be 50 or more ran in behind the condo and left just as fast! We did get a pic and wanted to post it!
The diving continues to be good as we went south to the lighthouse and just beyond yesterday with wonderful visibility, no waves and very little current. These wind reversals make for some very nice diving in places normally not visited!! We saw our first (wild) lionfish at Front Porch just south of Bari Reef, very beautiful but we know what they represent. It was marked and reported.
The internet service Michael provided far exceeds what sandollar has to offer and we are very appreciative of it. Thank you for the suggestions, it was many issues not just reception that led us to our solution, it just wasnt worth the hassle. Its great to have such good resources as Michael at Chat & Browse and Mary at Sandollar!

Enough for now we are hungry!!
