Hi Fiona -- we saw both frog fish and sea horses this trip thanks to Willem at VIP Diving (www.vipdiving.com)

Frog fish were found at Yellow Sub on Tuesday Sept. 21st. Entered south of Yellow Sub pier. Two frog fish found on separate corals not far apart at about 25 ft (top of reef) just north of a mooring. One was yellow/orange and one was black/white. Both about 2 inches long.

Two sea horses were found at The Lake on same day. Entered where marked at the cut, went about due west into about 15 ft of water. Sea horses were spotted on coral rubble, just hanging out and swaying in the surge. One changed locations sometime between our entry and exit, but we relocated him. They're about 2.5 - 3 inches tall, greenish coloring. Look in the coral rubble for things that seem to be swaying in the surge.

Lion fish spotted at about 35 ft or so at Something Special also on Tuesday evening. Entered at the north end very near the end of the drive, went fairly straight out (west heading) and turned north after starting down the reef. Tough to say exactly, as it was a night dive.

Good luck hunting for these guys !! If you want almost a guarantee, call Willem and get him to go with you.

Fiona -- glad you were able to find them. That little black & white one is tough to spot.

Nice job finding the frogfish, Fiona and good luck next with the seahorse. Those little guys are our favorites.

Hope you marked and reported that Lion Fish. It seems that the program is at least slowing down their impact.
