Jesus Freddie,

I'm not on here as often as you guys, but something major must have transpired for a statement like that? However, I like rules to live by, and try to abide by them. You go girl!!!

I'd wager that consistent and judicious enforcement of the policies will contribute to the growth of BT. 9,000 readers could become 18,000 and so on.
I have noticed a certain number of commenters feel that the site is their personal domain to intimidate others, especially new posters like me. I don't do well with indoctrination and regimentation and will push back as needed in the effort to stop that conduct.
May I suggest ending the tabulated counts of how many posts each person has had? I realize it is like logging dives but when BT subdivides new, experienced, advanced, diety (!!) talkers it leads to more than a few commenters assuming they have the final say.
Identify moderators, sure. No problems there but level the playing field by letting posters establish their own credibility through their own words.
Experience does count in diving. We can all benefit from sharing life's experiences we bring to BT without having to "prove" ourselves.
No one likes to provide negative feedback more than me. Sometimes, however, the cure to a problem hurts more than the problem at first but then healing can optimally occur.
Reps from the diving and tourism industry read these comments on BT, perhaps by a wide margin to those who actually post comments. Let's help them develop their repeat business and reputations.
Problems are more likely just from a few bad apples. Cull 'em then focus on the resolution of existing issues.
Dive trips to Bonaire doesn't have to be like entering the devil currents of Nusa Penida, in a manner of speaking.
Ignoring, covering up, denying, minimizing or otherwise not being forthright about things which could stand to be improved upon helps no one.
Let's encourage healthy symbiosis between our host country and us and minimize tourist parasitism.
What say ye mates?
