Finally, we've been looking forward to this trip for over a year and now we are in paradise once again.

Flight was great from Atlanta on Delta. I do have to warn those who don't already know, your wait for your luggage once you get through immigration is a very long one so be prepared to stand around awhile with others who will be sweating as much as you :) and be patient!

We ate at It Rains Fishes last night, WONDERFUL! Would highly recommend it. We forgot our bug spray, but when I asked for some, they supplied it.

Going snorkeling today and to the park! Will report more later!

We snorkeled with Dive Friends yesterday at two different locations on Klien. Was a good trip but a little cloudy.

We ate at Pantagonia night before last and had their specials which were very good and more than I could eat after an appetiser of calimari which was excellent. Last night we went to Mona Lisa and we each had one of the catch of the days, tuna and red snapper. Excellent as well! Going to travel around today to snorkel!

Wish you were here! :)

We snorkeled around Donkey Beach yesterday after driving through the park. Saw a few more things this time snorkeling that the other two days. We ate at La Luna last night and it was slightly disappointing, not as great as the other restaurants we've ate at. Had the Mahi Mahi and it was a little over cooked. Going out on the Woodwind today. They had it out of the water doing some painting etc. for the last several days, so today is their first voyage back in the water. Should be exciting!

Sandy..That's the one about 200 yards south of Windsock. It has the concrete stairs going down to the little beach.

Vince, I always thought Donkey Beach was north of Windsock by the little yellow building across from the airport? The one with concrete stairs is Bachelor Beach? I could be wrong, of course, but thought I would throw that out there.

ok. I will look and hopefully find it the end of July. Have never been diving at Windsock but will try it. Love Tori's Reef so this should be easy to find.

Sandy

I'll confuse it even more...I thought Donkey Beach was the local's term for Windsock. LOL Debbie...I concur about Bachelor's Beach.

Donkey Beach is what some call Windsock. It's the entire area across from the beginning of the runway...where the windsock flies (there's a nice sandy-beach entrance in about the middle; enter elsewhere and it's over sharp rocks). The little beach near the yellow transformer hut is called Yellow Hut by some (first dirt driveway after you pass Port Bonaire, driving south). I like snorkeling the entire area--very easy, and lots to see.

Thank goodness for your clarification Ruth. (now lets all get some KFC & a cold one).

**Debbie** I was under the impression that bachelor's beach & donkey beach were one and the same. hmm..
So Ruth indicates it's really Windsock & donkey beach which has the identical names..Yes, it can be confusing..I think we all need to get to Bonaire a bit more often :)
By the way some great snorkeling by "Yellow Hut".

Vince, I agree, getting to Bonaire more often is definitely in order!!! :) :)

Thanks Ruth! Nice snorkeling by that little yellow hut for sure, never know what you may see there. :)

Sorry for the confusion! Yes Donkey Beach is the one by the airport. It is one of our favorites because you can see so much and it's an easy snorkel. We are staying at Port Bonaire and it is very close for us as well. We can jump in the water in front of the condo and go! When we went with Renee a few years ago it was one she took us to as well, though we had been there before, but with her she was able to point out even more and tell us what we were looking at. Our trip on the Woodwind was excellent yesterday. Once again Dee did an wonderful job of pointing things out around Klien. We were lucky to see a dozen or more turtles on the last of the snorkel trip. Wonderful lunch served with dessert before our trip back in. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone.
