Winds are calmer on the south side of island, were having good luck finding sea horses, crabs, eagle rays.. Not looking forward to PBD (post bonaire depression) but thankful for a awesome two week of diving. Here are a few pics and a gallery updated. Check it out here:

Wow, that looks like a great location;
right on the beach with palapas and
blue water just out the back door.
Mind sharing what this property is?

of a stand-alone property.

Hello All, glad you've enjoyed the gallery. Yes, we are in the Esmeralda house, we've enjoyed it, the convenience and the view, no complaints, location is great for diving, by the lake & hilma hooker, and all the southern sites. House could use some work, beds are not so comfortable but we managed.

Yes Patti Marli is a doll and will be the youngest ever certified diver.
Mike we are close we should get together and chat about the island.

Interesting facts I found while looking up the Black Brotula. They are one of very few fish that bear live young. They also live symbiotically with green morays doing cleaning services in their mouths! Brave little buggers!

Gary
We found one at Belmar house reef second buoy out the orange one in about sixteen feet of water. The yellow one is directly behind our rental house “Esmeralda House” at the drop off in about fifty foot of water. Only saw him on one day tried to search him out a couple more times but to no avail. The third one and most easily spotted is at the entrance to “The Lake” straight out from white pillars in 12ft. of water. Not a lot of soft coral and a lot of sand so helps in locating him. Good luck and have a great trip……..

dfw, we are from texas also, and thank you for the reply. We always kind of have this thing about finding seahorses, and have not found one in Bonaire yet. Maybe this year.
