We have gotten a couple dives in and gotten reaquainted with our gear and cameras. Here is a cute picture Chet took yesterday of a baby Spotted Moray Eel.

Chet and Jean, enjoy the Zale's condo and have a GREAT trip! Carole Kelly just posted on another thread that they are in building F at Sand$ and want to hook up with some other BTers. You still doing the Gibi thing with the buttons?

We've got buttons, but the Tuesday Gibi's thing kinda' died-out. May try to stop-by at Golden Reef Inn on Monday night and try to catch a 'Gibi' meal.

Am still leaving some buttons on the railing outside B6 in case someone stops by and we're out.

Hi, Here are a couple pixs from todays dive on Bari. We both had camera 'issues'. Par for the course. I snatched these off my video. The 2 squid were big for reef squid and magnificent! Chet danced with one. (Message edited by jeanwood on February 26, 2010)

And we saw a Barred Cardinalfish under a ledge at Aquarium just south of Bari. Next to him was this Qlasseye Snapper. Inside the Aquarium was a snorkeler feeding the fish. Don't snorkelers have to go to an orientation where they tell you not to feed the fish? Any way it was a nice peaceful lovely dive. snapper

Saw loads of South Americans on Bari snorkeling on Friday and it would be not surprise to me that they are feeding fish. They are off the Cruise ship. I still say that the only good thing that has been brought to Bonaire by Cruise ship. . . .was the Bryde's Whale on display at entrance to Washington/Slaagbi Park.

Thanks for the pics Chet & Jean. :) I wonder if they make the cruise ship snorklers pay for a token along with a Bonaire Safety course? They should if they don't! We always enjoy the food and company at the Golden Reef Inn. Gibi always has good food. :)

Chet an Jean-
Have a wonderful time on Bonaire! It's so strange for me not to be there now. I survived that course that I had to take all last week...some "vacation"! I'll be thinking of you. See you next year!

We've seen a couple nice sunsets over Klein.
The selection of food available seems to get better every year or maybe I've finally figured out where to find the stuff we want :)

Is there more crime on Bonaire or are people just talking about it more?

We have seen a couple Baracuda, lots of Sand Divers, lots of Parrotfish and Angelfish and Butterflyfish. The abundance of fish life here is always amazing.

We started our dive yesterday at Aquarium and headed South to Front Porch. Went to the boat Our confidence then headed back to Bari. Saw a couple Secretary Blennies and a Black Durgun. At the aquarium we saw a couple Spotted Drums, a Glassy Sweeper under the ledge and all the other babies, etc. Here's a pix of some French Grunts. grunts

Jean,
Thank for the great pics. Can I ask a stupid question. Where is the Aquarium? Is it part of the Eden Beach dive? Thanks!

The "Aquarium" is what we call the broken down concrete slab pier in front of the old Sunset Beach hotel property. Just a little south of the Dive & Adventure pier.

That is the Front Porch dive site where the tug at 90fsw is located. I can remember that site, before Lenny, it was all live coral and a popular dive... Ron

Both of my kids did their first night dive at that site with Jeff Stine and myself. My wife was not certified at that time... Ron 1997
