We have not done a trip report in years, just to lazy I think. But this trip was a one of a kind trip.
Some of you know that six of the nine moderators was on Bonaire at the same time along with two very special people, Bill and Chip.

Jan 17th. Weather report. Snow starting late in day, heavy at times. NOT GOOD. Boston is always a crap-shoot! Call AA, Can I get out now? “No, but you can pay a rebooking charge of $250.00” WTF! Ok, slow down, breath, try again in a bit. I call back, person could not understand English, I hang up. Call again, person is in NC, heavy rain she says. I tell her my problem of the snow coming, she puts me on hold………………………………..........................................................................................................................................................................................Mr. Gauron, please pack right now and get yourself to Boston…..You are all set to take the next flight out. We spend the night in Miami, what a joy. Get a good nights rest, and link up with Jim in the seven mile AA terminal. Off to Cur on time. Depart Cur on Divi.

Arrive on Bon, pick up car and off to the Bellafonte for the next ten days. We pull into the parking lot and there is Freddie, George, Tom, Tim and Bill and Chip. Big hugs and a very warm greeting. We settle into our digs and hit the water for a cooling off swim. Robert, the manager sees to our every need. This is service plus, plus, plus.

The Real Start.

We make our way to Capriccio’s, diner with Cynde, Steve and Jim. (Thank you Jim) We eat to much, drink to much. Perfect.

Day Two.

Food shopping, retrieve our gear that’s been in storage, bring it to Bruce for servicing. Wana Dive for tanks, and tags. Spent the rest of the day kicking back.

Day Three.

Cynde and Steve rented a boat, Jim and Louise was invited to spend the afternoon cursing the warm waters of Bonaire. I get sea sick, and had 11 duck confit’s to get ready for the first mod meet of the week. We had one hell of a pot luck diner, 13 bottles of wine, Bill forced Queen George to drink jet fuel all evening. Poor G!

Day Four.

Chip and Bill arranged a two tank boat trip to Klein for all of us. Thank you Chip and Bill.
Well, did I tell you that I get sea sick? Wind be blowing like hell, boats bouncing all over the place, Queen George is looking for a place to crash. (he likes jet fuel) I start to feel GREEN. On goes the tank in down we go. Very nice dive. Climb back on the boat. Green again. That did it. Dear God, get the SOB boat docked. One hour later I was fine.

Took a shower, read, Time for Diner. Again, this was Chip and Bill’s adventure. Thank you one more time.

Day Five.

Dove, swam, ate, had a nap.
Big bash at Jake and Linda’s home. Jake has a slow cooker and filled it to the brim with chicken, pork and turkey. What a evening. Thanks to Jake and Linda.

Day Six. - Day Ten

Dove a bunch with Chip and Bill.
Ate, drank, and had a ball.

I want to mention that Capriccio’s bent over backwards to provide us with the wines for the week.
Louise and I had pleasure of spending the vacation with some of the best people that I have ever met.

Thank you Chip, Bill, Freddie, George, Tim, Steve, Tom, Jim and late again Cynde.

My gear was put back in storage, so, I’m going back.
