We always pack 2 camp chairs and bring them with us in a duffle bag. We are probably the only crazy people with chairs in our checked bag, but it works.

Deborah, the Bonaire Super Store, up to the right of the circle, probably has them. They have everything else there.

Diane, on my trip over the Holidays I saw people using camp chairs. I believe they were sitting at Winsock waiting for sunset. Was that you ?

No, wish it was. But it may be us Feb 5-14. Sunset is an event not to be missed on vacation, especially with an adult beverage.

FYI, the cheapest folding chair at Super Store was about $70 (as of 2 weeks ago). Check out the "Buying Beach Chairs" thread under Local Items.

Thanks, folks. Guess we'll bring out own. We used to alsways do that when we went to Aruba--but that was back when each person could take 2 checked bags! Don't know if it is cheaper to take extra bags since we're coming via Aruba and DAE as well as our US Airways charge...

I was in Curacao yesterday, so looked for some beach chairs there too (I know this is not an option for most). I found 1 chair in 1 store, and 3 in another. I did see some low-slung canvas ones ($45), and a kinda flimsy hammock-sling chair for ($28). The ecomomy-type thin nylon fold-in-a-sleeve camping chairs were available, ($18), as was a heavier duty style in canvas, ($85). When you realize that they're even hard to find, and/or expensive on Curacao, an island with a population over 10x ours, the ones here at Super Store are a good value (or BYO).
