Air Jamaica to/from Newark, NJ – No problems on the flights. They held the planes in Montego Bay on the way home so (almost) everyone made their connections.

Stayed at the Divi (timeshares) – Check-in was an adventure, (long story for another time). Resort was in good shape.

Dove, (dived?) with the Divi team and fellow timesharers Jim & Jan Baucom and Wade & Linda Herpin

Dive Sites: We got around…Calabas (3, 2 at night), Sampler, Monks Haven (3), Knife (2), Angel City (2), Small Wall (2), 18th Palm, Punt Verkant, Hilma Hooker, Jeanie’s Glory (2), Cliff, Cai (with Larry), White Hole (with Larry), Carl’s Hill, No Name Beach, Bachelor’s Beach, Jerry’s Reef, Nearest Point, Peitri’s Pillar, South Bay, Windsock, Kalli’s Reef, Red Slave, Vista Blue to Red Beryl Drift, Rockpile, Andrea I, Capt. Don’s Reef, Invisibles, Hands Off.

Great pics! We were on the island 10/9 - 10/17.

You were in the boat parade? So were we...we were on the RIB heading in to the parade ;-) Felt like a salmon heading upstream!

Hello T-shirt Divers, enjoyed your report & pics. Did the Divi check in have anything to do with coming in early on the Continental flight and not having a room ready until early afternoon? That happened to us. Oh well. I have a question for Sue ... is that a Sea & Sea DX5000? I noticed you have a small light attached to your strobe (YS25Auto?) What is the small light for? I have that setup and am curious as to the use of the small light. Thanks in advance. Diane

continuation

Diving - We had a good time diving. The water temp was 84 so I wore my dive skins or my .5. DM Enrique found so many seahorses for us this time. Enjoyed having a front row seat on the bow of Alice H to watch the dolphin show under the bow of the boat and having the large pod jump right in front of the boat. I saw for the first time on a night dive a spotted lobster. "Freddy", the tarpon kept us company on the night dives. I found a web burfish, first time ( see pictures). The chocolate chip sea cucumber was fun. Saw more eagle rays and green morey eels this time but not many lobsters.

Restaurants - There are too many good restaurants on Bonaire! In two weeks we visited a few.

Bambu - Went there with a group and had a good time. Nice atmosphere, good food and presentation. Will go back there next time.
Bistro de Paris - Ate there a couple of times since the food is so good.
Wills Tropical Grill and Cactus Blue - Both enjoyed and the food was good.
Casa Blanca - Was there only once this time. The guys split the mixed grill. Of course a pictures was taken!
Mona Lisa - Ate there with friends. Sat outside so it was cooler. Always good food. The restaurant part is opend with doors so it's cooler there now.
Chibi Chibi - Coconut shrimp and coconut cake and Bonarian coffee were good. Always like watching the fish swim and eat while I dine there.
Richards - Good food and nice atmosphere.
It Rains Fishes and Donna & Giorgio - good food and company.

Activities

Chat N Browse - to talk and buy REAL Cubans

Jewel of Bonaire - Linda H. & I wanted to see how much gold & Diamonds we were able to bring home! The jewelry is designed, made, is one of a kind and unique. This is what I like in jewely.

J & Linda's Calendar party - Talked to J & Linda, met BT Andy and David, talked to Bob B. & Molly, saw Dee with the cute new baby etc. Bought two autographed calendars.

RE/MAX 3rd anniversary party - We were invited by Bob B. Saw many people @ this crowded party. Bob B. & Molly, wildside Larry & Jan, Donna & Hendrick, and Liz & Ed of Golden Reef who are doing good, etc.

Parade of Nations - first time I saw the parade

Boat Parade - Had a good time! Helped the Divi dive staff decorate our boat Sea Gypsy. Our boat had live music & dancing, good drinks & snacks!

Missed not diving with you Kelly this year; maybe next year.

It was a great two weeks, but could have dove more & seen more people, but there wasn't enough time. So, we'll just have to go back!

Enjoy our pictures on our web site & leave us a message!
