Finally I have the time to make a trip report.
We had so much to do when we got home that I didn't have the time.
But now I do!!;)

We had the greatest time ever!!!!
It started at the day before leaving, we spend the night at Van Der Valk Schiphol so we did not have to leave at home at 4 o'clock in the morning.
The next morning we took there bus (for free) to the airport and checked in imediatly, no lines so everything went very fast.
Then we did some shoping and got some dollars an guilders.

We took of in Amsterdam at 11.00 am (dutch-time) and landed 9,5 hours later in Bonaire at 02.50 pm (Bonaire time).
Our bags were the first on the luggagebelt so we were of the airport at about 03.00 pm.
Then we got the car and were on our way to Eden Beach and we checked in and got the key and on our way to our first drink at Bongo's before 03.30 pm.
This is the way to go!!!!!

Eden Beach is very nice, a bit old but the people of Bongo's and Wannadive are so nice that the rooms don't matter.
They were not terrible, but a bit run down.
But everything on the island looks like that in my eyes.

Bongo's is the best!!!
Very nice people and we loved there fruitshakes and coctails!!
They knew our names after a few days what is very nice.

Wannadive is fantastic!!
What a great staff they have, and Bart is one off a kind.
He was our instuctor for our advanced course and I still can not think about him without lauching!!
The things he does underwater!!!
We got our advanced in the first week so lots of time do enjoy the rest of the divingtime.
We also did the Eastside dive with Bart, I can only recommend that.
It was a great experience and we will do it definitly again next year!

We tried lots of restaurants.
We had lunch at City-cafe a few time what was great, dinner was not as good as lunch.
Dinner at Salsa was very dissapointing, I will never go back there.
Cappricio was great, we had dinner twice there, the owners are very nice.
Cassablanca was great too, we also went there twice.
Cactus - Bleu was also nice, I had a yummie lobster tale and my husband the tunasashimi.
Bambu was one of the best!!
La Geurnica was nice, we had nice tapas there, really tasty.
We had lunch at Bongo's a few times that was good, only had a late dinner onces, after our night-dive at city-pier, the BongoBurger is unbelieveble!:P
We also had a nice evening at the Sushi-bar, we did teppan-yaki and tried the sushi to, exelent food!
And don't forget Rum-rummers, wauw, I had the spicy shrimp pizza, that was really spicy!!!But yummie.
And I must name LeMaSe Grocery, they have the nicest milkshake I have ever tasted, I had the chocolat and my husband the banana, wauw the tasted like heaven, we even got the leftovers mixed from Jan, the owner, a very nice combination chocolat-banana.
We also had to try his fresh made fishsoup, that was also so very nice, he told me the recipe!
Almost forgot the BT-dinner at Gibi's, we had a great time and met nice people!!

The diving was great too ofcourse, we even spotted caribian reefsharks twice, one's at Sout-West corner at klein and ones ad Fred's reef.
Fred's reef was our favoret divespot, what a beautiful place that is!!
We also spotted eagle-rays twice upclose, ones at Invissible's and we had a 15 minutes swim with a ray at Tori's reef.
The one at Tori's reef was so nice to let us come really close and make lot's of picture.
They only thing we are sorry for we did was the night-dive at City-pier, there were 40 divers there that night. We did see seahorses (2) and a nice babyoctopus, but we will not do it again.
We did a night-dive later at Bari's reef and drifted back to Edens, we enjoyed that 10 times more.

We wished we could have stayed but business did not alow us to stay, but next year we will stay a week longer.

Had a great time, and I love Bonaire!!!
I'LL BE BACK!!! (spoken like Arnold :P)

Lilian - thanks for the great report.
Glad you had a good time. Vacation goes by much too quickly - there's never enough time.

Lilian, I am happy to read that you had a great time!! Bongo burgers = breakfast, lunch and dinner all on a bun.

Does the funny thing Bart did underwater in any way resemble this?

Hahahaha, for example Tom!!
He did the fin thing on our boatdive for our advanced course.
At our deepdive he had a salmon on his nose.
He gets hot under water sometimes and use's air as deoderant.
Every dive we made he did another stunt.
But the fins was one of the funniest!
I'am even smiling now and remembering the little details of our trip.

Becky I would like to place some picture's but I only seem to get .gif picture's placed here and they are not nice at .gif.
The jpeg doesn't work for some reason.
Maybe I will make an online photobook and place the link, but I must look into that, never did it before

Thanks for your report, Lilian.

FYI to All. What was refered to as Freds Reef is actually called Taylor Maid. Bas was not at all happy that some one had decided to change the name and place a rock at the site with it painted on it. We have yet to figure out who the heck Fred is. If one calls the Marine Park office and asks where Freds Reef is, I suspect they would not have a clue.
