4/17: AJ flight leaving Atlanta ran late, and was very concerned about the short connection in MB, but not to worry it was also running behind. Ended up getting to BON two+ hours late. Even though we were late, Telerin (car rental agency) was there with our rental ready to go, which was a very welcome relief.

Stayed at the Sand$. They are currently in the middle of construction on new dive shop and dock which is scheduled for completion by Aug. 1st. Had no problems getting tanks and access to Bari Reef. They are using one dive boat, out of the marina, running twice a day, 9:00am and 11:00am. Once the dock is completed they will have two boats. Spacious 2nd floor condo, beautiful view. Had problems with mosquitoes or something gnawing on us at night, had to break out the Cutter.

Dive Sites: Bari Reef (five times, different every time), Cpt. Don's Reef, Hilma Hooker, Jerry's Reef (hugh green eel), Angel City, Small Wall (twice, saw my first Sea Horse at Small Wall!!). This was Dad's first trip back since Lenny and he was surprised at the damage done to corals, etc.

4/24: AJ leaving Bon ran 30+ mins. late causing us to miss the MB connection. AJ set us up at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort for the night and booked us on the 11:40 flight the next day. The 11:40 also ran late ensuring that we hit Atlanta just in time for the I85 rush hour traffic.

Even with the travel problems it was still worth it. If a connection had to be missed I am glad it was on the return trip and not on the way down. May have to investigate other travel options for the next trip.

Super report Susan. I was at SandDollar the same time and loved it as well. I did not have bug problems but my 9 year old did..there were little teeny mosquitos in her room every night. Cutters helped some.

I think the air situation is really the luck of the draw. I have used JM twice, once in Aug. and we were one hour late leaving BON and I caught my BOS connection. Going down the 21st all flights into MoBay were late so all flights were held. Most here find JM to be really ok. I love the flight times. The AA early AM flight really annoys me, particuliarly since they say get there at 4 AM and the staff waltzes in whenever..oh well..the price to pay for a week in paradise.

Oh I did notice the week of the 14th one JM flight perhaps Wed. was still on the runway at 5 PM..wayyyy late.

Congrat's on finding the seahorse Susan! They are an absolute incredible find, especially when you can find them on your own. When we were there in January we were told where to look for the one at Captain Don's and then were able to find others after. Saw brown, yellow and red/orange ones. Will have to come back though as still have not seen any frog fish.
