My wife, Leslie, & I will make our third excursion to Bonaire May 8-16. We have been lurking in the background since '02 and really love the info out there to help us prep for our trips. We're staying at Sand $ and if anyone is going to be around during that time frame, we would love to get together.

Anyway, we are planning to do a few different things this time, like the Naturalist course at BDA and maybe take an excursion over to Larry's for a couple of morning dives. Our normal routine is dinner (late if doing a night dive) and having a drink at City Cafe. City's nice, but if there's another place to pass away the evening, we'd love to check it out.

Thanks, Mark

Well Mark, if you can tear yourself away from the waterfront, I would spend a Tuesday might at Gibis house for dinner. If you look at Gibi is cooking for You there are directions and a map. I eat at Gibis many times while on the island, I had xmas dinner there last year (OMG!)
Gibis is also open other nights, which arre not BT meeting nights, if you want to avoid folks. One never knows if it will be a large group or not.
The blue moon is nice too, and just a bit farther south than City Cafe
Seb

Thank you both for the info. We have never been to Gibi's, at least that I remember, so that will kill two birds with one stone - native cuisine and good company. Now, if I can just talk Leslie into going to Zeezicht for some keshi yena (sp?)

The course is offered at Bonaire Dive & Adventure (BDA) there at Sand Dollar. The instructor there that several people have raved about is Jerry Ligon. These guys had some good details...

Mark,
Nice link!
Yes! I highly recommend Jerry; his "dive with the Naturalist" is a great experience!
