Hi all. I was suppose to go to Bonaire in Feb but had to cancel due to illness. I want to reschedule but don't know what the temperature is like during the summer months.

Could some people give me an idea as to whether it is comfortable or too hot and humid during May or August. My other choice is November but i will have to miss some school if I do which is why I'd rather do it in May or August.

Also, if anyone is going to be there during these months let me know when and if you're staying at the Sand Dollar Resort. Maybe we can hook up since I won't have a buddy to dive with.

Thanks for your assistance.

Asher

In my opinion Bonaire is a year round diving venue with a usually constant breeze. We usually go in September/October for the coral spawning and it is great then.

Asher, we have been 3 times last of May-first of June and have enjoyed it. It gets a little hot in the middle of the day if you are out in the sun. In a shade, with a breeze it is not bad at all. But then anytime is a good time to go to Bonaire.

Asher,
We will be on Bonaire from July 30-August 13; however, we will be staying at the Divi. We have always gone in August (This will be our 4th trip.) and love it--no rain, mosquitos, hurricanes or crowds. It doesn't seem too hot or humid to us (and we're from a dry climate). Of course, we spend most of our time in the water, and we like being able to get by with just skins cause the water's so nice and warm.
You'll have a great time no matter when you go. Never heard anyone rule out any specific month.
Maybe we'll run into you at one of the dive sites.
Linda

A fellow Jerseyian! We go various times of the year and in August, the gentle breeze dies down quite a bit, November has the gentle breeze,May has the gentle breeze, so, that takes care of your months in question. There really isn't a bad time of year to go to Bonaire.
