Now for the diving…the dive shop was very convenient and had everything we needed. If they did not have it they would bring it over from Buddy Dive. (http://www.buddydive.com/ ) We kind of overwhelmed them for Nitrox though. There was another large group that would load their patio with Nitrox tanks leaving very little for everyone else. It did not take long for the dive shop to adjust and accommodate us. We were never without but I can’t say that about our entire party. I can say that we worked it out so that to those it mattered to, they had nitrox.

All dive needs were met by and exceeded by BelMar Dive, which is just an extension of Buddy Dive. We had rinse tanks a plenty, safe dive lockers for our gear a drying room that was secure if we chose to use it.
Separate rinse tanks for our cameras. We had air and nitrox tank cards so if we did not want to come back to Belmar we could pickup/ drop off tanks at Buddy Dive. Ericka runs BelMar Dive and was busy running back and forth to Buddy Dive to get tanks and supplies for us. She also arranged our dive at Town Pier with dive master Augusta… I think that was his name. He told me I would never remember it and I told him I would write it down… He said if we look for him in 20 years he would still be there… He loves Bonaire too.

Our first dive –check out dive- was on BelMar’s House Reef. We thoroughly enjoyed the reef, as it was so full of life. I can’t show you pictures as I never got back there with a camera but I was extremely pleased!! And probably could have dove there every dive but am very glad I did not. I heard that the reef was a disappointment at night because it was so active during the day and they saw nothing at night. One night we had some air left to burn so we went off the dock for grins and giggles and had the most wonderful dive full of wandering octopus, sleeping coronets, weird worms and sluggy looking things. I did not make it to the reef so can only speak to the night dive in the sand there.
