Thank you all for being so helpful!! I have been dying to share! My name is Dana Clark. My boyfriend and dive buddy is Rod Lusher. This is the story of our long awaited trip to Bonaire.
Since I am so long winded I will divide it into several parts...

About 5 years ago we met a couple that was shopping for food to take on a trip to a place called Bonaire. We listened in to their conversation because it sounded like they were speaking "diverese" When we asked they explained that they were divers going for their 2nd time to the Island of Bonaire. It was so primitive that you had to bring your own food but diving was to die for! We became good friends and eventually started working for the dive shop that they ran. ( http://www.chesapeakebaydiving.com ) Each year we have drooled at stories of their most recent trip with tales of frog fish and Town Pier dives. Finally our dive shop scheduled a trip and off we went.

We flew Air Jamaica. Personally had no real problems but one couple in our group lost their dive gear...OMG... we had an hour and a half delay on the last day.... more time in Bonaire... and the seats were pretty uncomfy which only mattered when they were taking us away from Bonaire. Once on the ground we started to see things like cats lounging in the airport and people moseying along in bathing suits and sandals... it was 19 degrees when we pulled out of BWI...We were in heaven.

We rented a truck from AB I think… The details are fading. The truck was pretty bad but it got us to some of the best dive spots in the world! By Pretty bad I mean it had really scary brakes that nearly had us crash and a bald tire that went flat. The flat we were then charged $15.00 for upon return of the truck but at least we had a functioning spare and did not miss any diving because of it.
