Lurk mode <off>

Lee Great pix!, its setting my PBD to maximum.
Welcome to the wonderful world of digital pix. I just thought I'd post a little tip since you're new to digital. With digital you don't have to live with the blue hue any more. With a program like Digital Image Pro or Photoshop Elements its just one click to make you pic go from this

old
to this

new

Just wanted to share that with you if someone hasn't already. Going to go back into my little corner and curl up into a little ball and whimper and wait for July 3

P.S. is it too early to start the who's going to be here in July thread??, I need it really bad

Lurk mode <on>

Thanks for more pics, Lee! I was new to digital u/w myself not long ago and enjoyed seeing the photos come alive with the editing tools in the pc....it's fun to see them emerge in a new light! I have ACDSee and the PhotoShop as well as a couple more. I love the ACDSee software as it is so simple to use.

Doug, nice to see the "lurk" mode turned off there for a while! We are getting psyched up about May, ourselves....we'll be there before you know it...May and July aren't too far behind. Ayo. Carole

Lee...here's one of yours edited in ACDSee a moment ago...it's so easy and quick, too. I wonder if these will show any noticeable differences.... Carole

That's great, Lee! It takes time to do them all (boy do I know that for a fact! LOL) but it is also fun...you really get to relive the shot and the fun of the dive. I find it "therapeutic" in some ways when I take time out of a busy day to edit the Bonaire shots. Take your time and enjoy each one. Ayo. CArole

I agree, Carol, that it is kind of therapeutic. And it takes time, a commodity I rarely have :-(. But OMG they look better.

But it really helps to recall the dive and I remember the shots I took in detail. Steve took most of these but I usually recall where he was when he took it. For shots like the turtle or squid or tarpon (at White Hole), I was the Border Collie on the other side of the critter calming "riding herd" so that they turned towards him or gave him a good broadside shot up close. It was pretty effective and didn't stress them either I think since they didn't haul ass.
