Well, it's been a week back from my first trip to Bonaire with the ARDSC group from Atlanta, GA. What a great time I had! I finally got to do the type of UW photography I do best....close up macro. Using a new camera and set for the first time too. It was a learn as I go experience. No 'wet mishaps' with my equipment either.

OK John - you can't tease us with just one shot - more, more, more, more. Or am I going to see some in 8x10 at the November meeting?

Good eyes Carole. I was hoping someone would see him/her. It's supposed to be a Blenny. He is about 1/8th inch in diameter. I saw one move, then I started seeing a bunch of them. You have to get REAL close to the rocks to notice them.

And those little guys bop their heads back and forth for a while and then every now and then they'll decide it's time to shoot out and grab a quick bite - and shoot back into their hole. I think they are hysterical.

I love blennys! It always appears (to me, at least) as if they are "barking" at me when I float and observe them on the rocks! LOL. I even had Janice Huckaby (a local artist) do an oil painting of my "Barking Blenny" last year...I just love it! Blennys are so entertaining. Here's the oil painting Janice did for me. It's on the bedroom wall where it smiles upon me each morning when I rise. My Barking Blenny! LOL. Carole
