The rest of the week was filled with awesome diving and good times with new friends. The Sudafed is doing the trick and I log in fantastic dives with Sue.


Thursday night we enjoyed another Aruba Days party with Frenk and Leti. Friday night, Frenk and Leti invited us to their home for a BBQ with family and friends. What a special way to spend time on the island!

Frenk and Sep performed mariachi at Karel’s before the BBQ so it wasn’t a super early to bed night but very relaxing none the less! Saturday was more of the same: great diving, food, and friends! Frenk and Sep performed at the Lighthouse. It was beautiful and sad all at the same time. (Do you get the idea that we’ve become roadies with the Duo Perfekto?)

If you run into these guys, tell them Sara sends her love!!! After the performance, we head to another local party and follow up at City Café with the same Venezuelan band. Late night tonight! If we don’t go to bed we never have to leave Bonaire right!?!

We saw you at the airport on March 21st in that line that wouldn't move! You were having troubles getting your upgrade! We were the couple with the 11 year old boy behind you. Small world, huh? OK Sara, so when are you going to return??? I noticed that you are a middle school principal. I'm a middle school teacher, so I'm heading back as soon as school is out at the end of May! It's addicting...maybe we'll see you again!

How funny Eileen! Yeah, we were probably a big pain in everyone's hiney at the airport! We ended up only getting one upgrade. My friend Sue generously offered me the seat since I was driving us back home from Chicago. Unfortunately, I sat with some guy with a dry hack that kept startling me awake when I'd start to fall asleep! That's what we get for trying to live high on the hog!

You're right about the returning part! I have vacation in July so if I can get the money together I hope to return in July! I guess I'm addicted! Now I just have to find another sucker to go with me since Sue will be unavailable in July!
