exito which opens at 7 am...also seruva which is bit hard to find. Cultimara Super Market also makes lots of good breads and opens at 8 am. We have no packaged bakery bread like in the States. Everything is like home made.

And usually VERY good. But it doesn't last as long as packaged bread in the states because it doesn't have all that preservative in it! And if the guy is making rolls at Maiky snack... and you can get some hot out of the brick oven... something that is so wonderful, eaten hot without butter -- we never seem to get these back 'home' for making our peanut butter and jelly. He doesn't bake often now but we have watched the process a few times.

I want to bring the bakery at Cultimara home!!! We can't get such good bread locally here - unbelievably. Very sad. Anyway, we just finished our multigrain today that we brought home with us. My husband went through 2 loaves of raisin bread (with almond butter and honey - yum) almost all by himself in the course of our week there.
