We are planning a trip in June. As we don't know what the wind conditions or our sailing ability (we haven't windsurfed since last August) we are weary of reserving equipment in advance or even if we will want to windsurf everyday for sure. How easy is it to rent equipment when you arrive?

Robin, I understand our concern. In most windsurfing areas as you know, shops prefer pre rentals so thay can assure guests the quantity and quality needed. Also, Ernst and Elvis both have so only much gear so if people drop in too much there can be a shortage.

I rent for both shops and strongly suggest pre renting for say 5 of the 7 days you might sail. You can always extend once you are there. You do not reserve gear but your reservation is in place and you then choose according to your ability and the conditions.

Only beginners need NOT pre reserve at Jibe City because he has LOTS of longboards. The Place as a few Start Boards so prereserving is essential.
